Marc van Zoggel (1986) studied Dutch language and culture at Radboud University Nijmegen. He finished off his research master’s degree in Literature/Literature Research with a thesis on the use of pseudonyms by Dutch authors. Part of that degree programme was a research internship at Huygens ING for the “Willem Frederik Hermans, Complete Works” project. Since April 2009 he has been involved in the creation of that edition, first as a research assistant and from October 2015 as a researcher. In June 2015, he gained his doctorate at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) with a dissertation about the ironic facets of the often supposedly arrogant image of Harry Mulisch [De ijdele façade; Over de ironische zelfvergroting van Harry Mulisch]. A commercial edition of this dissertation will be published by Verloren in 2018.
