Joke Roelevink passed away on 7 September 2018. Joke studied History at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, with the main subjects Middle Ages and New History. In 1986 she obtained her doctorate cum laude with a dissertation on history education at Utrecht University from 1735 to 1839, for which she received the study prize of the Praemium Erasmianum Foundation in 1988. Since 1978 she has been associated with Huygens ING and its predecessors. Among other things, she contributed to the publication of the Resolutions of the States General 1610-1670, of the classic act of the Reformed Church from the Reformation until 1621, and to various projects on the Batavian-French period. She was also staff member and coordinator of the section 1550-1813 for a number of years.

Joke was attached to Huygens ING and its predecessors from 1978. She was an open and loyal colleague, and a gifted and productive historian. We will miss her very much.
