The Huygens Institute for History of the Netherlands is an institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. The Huygens ING investigates texts and sources from the past using new methods and techniques. The institute stands for innovation in research methods, but also for a better understanding of Dutch culture and history among a wide audience. The institute has around 100 employees and a turnover of around € 6.5 million. Software development is an important part of many projects. It is located in the Spinhuis on Oudezijds Achterburgwal 185 in the center of Amsterdam.

Vacancies at the Huygens ING

Due to pregnancy replacement, the KNHG is looking for a Managing Editor BMGN-Low Countries Historical Review (0.84 fte) from 1 June to 1 November.

You support the editorial team and manage the editorial office. You coordinate the peer review process, edit copy and monitor the quality of written English, maintain contacts with authors, reviewers, printer and designer. You supervise the printing process and monitor the planning of the planned editions of the magazine. You are responsible for both the printed journal and the publication of the journal on, the online open access journal platform.
