Working at Huygens ING

The Huygens Institute for History of the Netherlands is an institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. The Huygens ING investigates texts and sources from the past using new methods and techniques. The institute stands for innovation in research methods, but also for a better understanding of Dutch culture and history among a wide audience. The institute has around 100 employees and a turnover of around € 6.5 million. Software development is an important part of many projects. It is located in the Spinhuis on Oudezijds Achterburgwal 185 in the center of Amsterdam.

Vacancies at the Huygens ING

We are looking for a project manager (0,8 fte) for Work Package 6, ‘Text’, of CLARIAH Plus, the large digital infrastructure project the KNAW Humanities Cluster is involved in. Your task will be to organise a set of use cases in which different researchers and institutions participate. The aim of the use cases is to help shape the technical digital infrastructure for Humanities research in the Netherlands, as well as to further the research of the participating scholars. For the project Computational Literary Studies Infrastructure (CLS INFRA) we are looking for a Project Staff Member (0.8 fte). Your tasks will be to organise the production of training materials, training schools, and to identify and map the specific requirements of researchers who wish to study literature using technology and AI in the European project, Computational Literary Studies Infrastructure (CLS INFRA).
